Expression of Cp1HMS00725 under the control of Scer\GAL4GR1 leads to a significant reduction in cell death (TUNEL) in nurse cells at oogenesis stage 13, persisting nurse cells (myr-GFP) and defects in formation of dorsal appendages at oogenesis stage 14 while it does not lead to any nurse cell acidification defects (LysoTracker) at oogenesis stage 13 in egg chambers when compared to controls.
