Expression of CG7882^KK109827 under the control of Scer\GAL4^Abd-B.D1 results in aberrant morphology (vacuoles reduced in size and number) of the secondary cells in male accessory glands. Wild-type mates of these knock-down males lay fewer eggs and display defects in post-mating receptivity suppression - the females become receptive for re-mating sooner (by 4 days after start of mating) than when mated with wild-type males.
