      Expression of Stat92ENIG.4257R under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.247.Switch specifically during the adult stage (in the presence of RU486) causes a defect in long term memory, without affecting anesthesia-resistant memory or short term memory.

      Expression of Stat92ENIG.4257R under the control of Scer\GAL4ey-OK107 during the adult stage (using the temperature sensitive Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B allele to restrict expression to this stage) results in a significant impairment in long term memory, without affecting short term memory.

      Expression of Stat92ENIG.4257R under the control of Scer\GAL4238Y causes a defect in long term memory, without affecting short term memory.
