UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a short inverted repeat.
Adult flies expressing CG6767GL00463 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu, Scer\GAL4H24, Scer\GAL4GH298 or Scer\GAL4NP2426 display a significantly increased aversion to 2,3-butanedione in an olfactometer assay, while expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.247 results in a significant reduction in attraction compared to controls. Additionally, a significant reduction in attraction is observed in a T-maze assay when expression is under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu, Scer\GAL4H24 or Scer\GAL4Mef2.247 and increased aversion is maintained under various odorant concentrations when expression is under the control of Scer\GAL4H24.
Adult flies expressing CG6767GL00463 under the control of Scer\GAL4H24 display a significantly increased aversion to D-Carvone, a significant reduction in attraction to 2-Heptanone and a similar preference to Ethyl Acetate or Methly Hexanoate compared to controls.
Adult flies expressing CG6767GL00463 under the control of Scer\GAL4GH146, Scer\GAL4Orco.2.642.Hsim\VP22, Scer\GAL4Tab2-201Y, Scer\GAL4c305a, Scer\GAL4c739 or Scer\GAL4kra-krasavietz display a similar preference to 2,3-butanedione as controls.
