      Expression of maguScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5 under the control of Scer\GAL4upd in mague00439/maguf02256 flies aged at 29[o]C partially rescues the number of germline stem cells. The fraction of testes with germline stem cells increases to more than 50% and sometimes approaches or equals 100%. Partial rescue occurs in flies aged 12 days but not 3 days. A similar rescue is displayed for the wing vein phenotype.
