Wild-type larvae display differences in their LN(v) dendrite length when exposed to constant darkness versus constant light. In contrast, the LN(v) dendrite length of babos1 mutant larvae is comparable to controls under constant darkness or normal light-dark daily cycle conditions, but has no compensatory increase in constant darkness.
