UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of full length Hsap\NMUR2.
Ubiquitous expression of Hsap\NMUR2Scer\UAS.cTa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI results in significantly elevated malpighian tubule fluid transport rates upon stimulation with the human peptide NMU-25. An increase in fluid transport levels is also seen upon stimulation with the capa1 peptide.
Flies expressing Hsap\NMUR2Scer\UAS.cTa under the control of Scer\GAL4Uro.PT show similar survival rates to wild type flies in response to starvation/dessication stress.
