      Zif742/Zif742 somatic clones of terminal tracheal cells form discontinuous tubes in third instar larvae.

      asthmatic742 mutant terminal cells exhibit a gas-filling defect. They are defective in matrix clearance in all seamless tubes: mutant terminal cels have normal morphology and form seamless tubes, but the tubes fail to clear and gas-fill.
