      etiolated1537 mutants exhibit a tracheal-specific growth defect.

      etiolated1537 mutant eye clones in a EGUF/hid eye assay (where forced expression of a cell death gene in the eye imaginal disc eliminates wild-type cells, leaving the adult eyes to develop almost entirely from clones of homozygous mutant cells), form eyes of normal size and shape.
