Description

UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat of 14-3-3ε sequence, which consists of a 990bp XbaI fragment containing the complete cDNA followed by a 400bp fragment containing the 5' portion of the gene, in the opposite orientation.

Expression of 14-3-3εdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cTa under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL results in a significant reduction in the number of pole cells per gonad in stage 12-13 embryos.

Expression of 14-3-3εdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cTa under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 results in a small but significant reduction in the number of pole cells per gonad in stage 12-13 embryos.

Expression of 14-3-3εdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cTa under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B has no significant effect on the number of pole cells per gonad in stage 12-13 embryos.
