UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of the Inverse-Pericam(T148.Q67) fluorescent Ca[2+] reporter that is targeted to mitochondria via the presence of an N-terminal Tag:Mito(hCOX8A) tag.
The reporter protein produced is an inverse pericam fluorescent calcium reporter, with a single excitation wavelength at ~485nm and Kd = 47nM. It is ideally suited for detecting small changes in mitochondrial calcium ion concentrations.
