      Foraging third instar larvae expressing Irk1NIG.6747R under the control of Scer\GAL4P0.5.Pdf show robust light avoidance at 30 lux, with more than 80% of larvae choosing the dark side of a petri dish in a choice assay, while control larvae are not able to distinguish between light and dark at this low light level.

      Adult flies expressing Irk1NIG.6747R under the control of Scer\GAL4P0.5.Pdf have long period (25.0 hour) locomotor activity rhythms under constant darkness conditions.

      Adult flies expressing Irk1NIG.6747R under the control of Scer\GAL4tim.Scer\UAS have long period (24.8 hour) locomotor activity rhythms under constant darkness conditions. The locomotor activity period is reduced to normal (24.1 hours) if the flies are also carrying Scer\GAL80Pdf.PS.
