G65E
Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase based on reported amino acid change.
Once fertilized, early embryonic development of embryos derived from Etf-QOG65E germline clones is normal, without obvious mitotic defects during syncitial blastoderm, and with normal blastoderm cellularization and germ-band extension. However, during the onset of germ-band retraction there are gross morphological defects and a significant induction of apoptosis.
Large somatic follicular mutant clones and large mutant clones in the larval wing disc fail to show any defects. Likewise, egg chamber development is normal when the germline is mutant.
