      Expression of mir-989Scer\UAS.T:Ppyr\LUC under the control of Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1 results in curved, spoon-shaped wings which are slightly folded. Some part of the wing margin are absent and the remaining parts are irregular. Wing veins L4 and L5 are shorter than normal. In males, vein L2 is shorter than normal.
