      Expression of fumiRNA.shmiR.Scer\UAS.P\T under the control of Scer\GAL4bam.T:Hsim\VP16 increases the number of GSC-like cells in the germarium to almost 7, compared to fewer than 5 in controls.

      In flies expressing fumiRNA.shmiR.Scer\UAS.P\T under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 approximately 90% of germaria contain between 5 and 10 GSC-like cells, compared to fewer than 5 in controls. Nearly 5% of germaria are tumorous (contain >10 GSC-like cells)
