      Expression of tioΔZn1.Scer\UAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PS induces ectopic eyes in the 86% of antennal discs. The ectopic eyes produced are similar in size to those seen when a full length tio construct, tioScer\UAS.cDa, is expressed.

      Antennal disc clones expressing tioΔZn1.Scer\UAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4Scer\FRT.Act5C exhibit tissue overgrowth throughout the disc. The size of the outgrowths in smaller than those seen when a full length tio construct, tioScer\UAS.cDa, is expressed.
