        Njigsaw/Njigsaw mutant embryos do not display any significant increase in the number of Ap neurons, as compared with controls.

        Hemizygotes are pupal lethal. Heterozygous flies do not show wing notching.

        Wings containing homozygous clones show strong notching and occasional ectopic wing margin formation. Homozygous clones in the thorax do not result in defects in bristle density or cell fate.

        Mutant larvae show a loss of circulating crystal cells and loss of salivary imaginal ring cells.
