Scer\GAL4elav-C155-mediated expression of Hsap\TTRwt.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 reduces median lifespan to 28 days, compared to 32 days in controls.

Scer\GAL4elav-C155-mediated expression of Hsap\TTRwt.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 results in reduced climbing activity compared to controls.

Scer\GAL4elav-C155-mediated expression of Hsap\TTRwt.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 generates an increased number of vacuoles in the brain of 20 day-old flies compared to controls. Unlike controls, these brains also show some large vacuoles.

By day 25 after eclosion, Scer\GAL4GMR.PU-mediated expression of Hsap\TTRwt.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 results in a mild eye phenotype - it is overtly normal, but there are small areas of fibrillar deposition and the ommatidia show mild curly morphology, though there is no vacuolisation.
