Reintegration of the 19.3 kb fragment removed in Abd-Biab-5.6.CI carrying an approximately 8.0 kb internal deletion spanning Drosophila genome project release 5 coordinates 3R: 12705410-12713431.
Abd-BFab-6.2 mutants show mixed anteriorizing (loss-of-function) and posteriorizing (gain-of-function) transformations of abdominal segments A5 and A6 towards A4 or A6. Loss of the bristles on the Abd-BFab-6.2-mutant A5 sternite (indicative of a posterior-directed transformation of A5 to A6) can be observed in addition to a loss of pigmentation on the A5 tergite (indicative of an anterior-directed transformation of A5 to A4). In the A6 segment, a gain of bristles is seen on the mutant sternite and a loss of pigmentation on the tergite, both indicative of an anterior-directed transformation (probably towards A4).
