UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of a kinase dead form of Hsap\LRRK2 (contains the amino acid replacement D2017A) which is tagged with Tag:V5.
The expression of Hsap\LRRK2D2017A.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5 under the control of Scer\GAL4Toll-6-D42 results in the presynaptic region of third instar larval neuromuscular junctions exhibiting a significantly lower starvation-induced formation of autophagosomes (detected as fluorescent puncta of Atg8 or Lamp in confocal microscopy images), but exhibiting no defects in autophagosome density under normal diet, as compared to controls.
