      Scer\GAL4Hmgcr.B-mediated expression of Ac76EScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 delays pupa formation - a significant fraction are still larvae as late as 165h AEL, and some continue to wander up to 215h AEL. These larvae are reduced in size compared to control wandering larvae and, correspondingly, yield smaller adults. Average adult body weight is significantly reduced in both sexes.

      Scer\GAL4Hmgcr.B-mediated expression of Ac76EScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 results in a small but significant increase in starvation resistance in females but not males.
