      Egg chambers containing tho2macadamia-46.3 mutant germline clones arrest development at stage three of oogenesis. The centrosomes are correctly restricted to one cell in each mutant cyst, but fail to localise to the posterior pole of the oocyte. Arrest is rapidly followed by the degeneration of mutant egg chambers.

      Flies with tho2macadamia-46.3 mutant somatic clones often display short bristles.
