      When all follicle cells in an egg chamber are mutant for pistachio32.1, the oocyte is localised to the side of the egg chamber rather than the posterior as is seen in controls. When the germline is mutant for pistachio32.1, oogenesis is arrested at stage three but the oocyte is correctly determined, polarised and located at the posterior end of the egg chamber.
