UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a membrane-anchored protein designed to study γsecretase specificity. This reporter is a chimeric protein containing both Hsap\APLP2 and Hsap\APP coding sequence, with a signal sequence at the N-terminal end. Sequence encoding a lexA::VP16 driver is fused to the C-terminus of the protein. The driver sequence can potentially be released if the protein is cleaved by γsecretase.
