Expression of one copy of Zzzz\CAG91.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa results in a severe eye phenotype in which pigment is lost and the surface of the eye is disordered and collapsed. No photoreceptors are evident in the ommatidium. Large, apically-localised aggregates are seen in the eye and the structure of the lamina appears to be disorganised. The phenotype is more severe when two copies of the transgene are expressed.
Flies expressing Zzzz\CAG91.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC,T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 are lethal prior to pupariation. Aggregates are seen in third instar larvae and these are predominantly nuclear.
