      The Df(3R)Nup58ex1 deletion affects the function of both Nup58 and Vha13. The larval lethality of Df(3R)Nup58ex1/Df(3R)PR29 animals is suppressed if they carry Vha13+tRa, resulting in sub-viable animals that are sterile. Df(3R)Nup58ex1/Df(3R)PR29 animals carrying both Vha13+tRa and Nup58T:Avic\GFP-EGFP are viable and fertile.
