      Autolysosome formation is inhibited in the fat body cells of starved Vps16Ad116/Df(3R)ED5339 mutant wandering third instar larvae. Large number of autophagosomes are observed. Numerous dense organelles are seen, which are usually round and smaller than the autolysosomes observed in controls. A subset of these vesicles contain recognisable remnants of cytoplasmic material, such as mitochondrion.
