A 1 bp deletion at codon 134 (between the two CHORD domains) that causes a frame-shift that results in a premature STOP codon at M172 in the 2nd CHORD domain.
A one base pair deletion GCCATT(G)AGGTG in codon E135 leads to a frameshift and early translation termination.
Homozygous neurons (generated via a Scer\FLP1SOP / MARCM method) generate miniature (i.e. a proportionally scaled down microcopy of wild type) dendritic arbors regardless of body size/nutritional input: dendritic segment length is reduced without simplifying the branching pattern in both fed and starved flies.
P{CHORD4.8} almost fully rescues the miniature dendritic arbor phenotype seen in CHORD2 neurons.
Isolated as a shared background mutation on the PBac{SAstopDsRed}LL04611 and PBac{SAstopDsRed}LL04133 chromosomes.
