      Under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI expression of mir-305UAS.cUa leads to lethality during development, but when Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI is expressed in combination with tubP-Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the adult stage, flies become viable with a shorter lifespan when compared to controls.

      Expression of mir-305UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 leads to an age-related impairment of locomotor activity (climbing ability) which becomes evident at 15 days after eclosion when compared to controls.

      Expression of mir-305UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 leads to

      premature aging (increased accumulation of abnormal protein aggregates in indirect flight muscles and increased accumulation of oxidative stress in thorax and abdomen) when compared to controls.
