UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of a K27M mutant of Hsap\H3-3A with C-terminal Tag:FLAG and Tag:HA flags.
Alternate designation K27M: the histone 3 polypeptide undergoes co-translational N-terminal methionine cleavage, thus the functional protein is one amino acid shorter.
Flies expressing Hsap\H3F3AK27M.Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG,T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR35E01 exhibit gross morphological defects, such as severe leg malformations and fusion phenotypes, and malformed, reduced or missing proboscis. The mutant flies die around eclosion.
