      Overexpression of sasScer\UAS.cCa in the salivary glands under the control of Scer\GAL4fkh.PH results in the expansion of the apical membrane and an increase in microvilli-like apical structures and apical membrane expansion into the lateral domain. In addition, high expression of sasScer\UAS.cCa results in more severe morphological defects with rounded cells that correlate with mislocalized basal sas expression.
