Reference

Expression of Mmus\Ankrd6^Scer\UAS.cJa in the posterior compartment of the wing under the control of Scer\GAL4^en-e16E results in strong bristle polarity phenotypes, and in some cases gross defects in the overall morphology of the wing. Expressing Mmus\Ankrd6^Scer\UAS.cJa under the control of Scer\GAL4^hh-Gal4 results in mild bristle polarity defects, and no gross wing morphology phenotypes.

Flies expressing Mmus\Ankrd6^Scer\UAS.cJa under the control of Scer\GAL4^hh-Gal4 exhibit eye defects, including misoriented facets and some facets lacking the normal complement of photoreceptor cells.

Expression of Mmus\Ankrd6^Scer\UAS.cJa in the posterior compartment of the wing under the control of Scer\GAL4^hh-Gal4 completely rescues the whorl phenotype seen in the wing bristles of dgo³⁸⁰ mutant flies. The whorl phenotype is still observed in the anterior compartment. Expression of Mmus\Ankrd6^Scer\UAS.cJa under the control of Scer\GAL4^hh-Gal4 also rescues the dgo³⁸⁰ eye polarity phenotypes.
