Adulthood-only expression of azotDsRed(T4) under the combined control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO and RU486 feeding decreases adult lifespan.

Expression of azotT:Disc\RFP in a wild type background increases the rate the apoptotic cell elimination normally seen in the 'loser' cells when cell competition is induced through generation of super-competitive dmαTub84B.PBb-expressing clones.

The brains of 1 and 7-day-old flies expressing azotT:Disc\RFP contain fewer vacuoles than controls.

Flies expressing azotT:Disc\RFP show an increase in median survival and maximum lifespan compared to controls.
