      Constitutive expression of Zzzz\GGGGCC103.Scer\UAS in the eye using Scer\GAL4GMR.PU causes eye degeneration. Increasing expression levels of the pure repeats by increasing the temperature leads to lethality.

      Adult-onset expression of Zzzz\GGGGCC103.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO (in combination with RU486 treatment) kills all flies by 30 days after eclosion.
