Global expression of Spt-IScer\UAS.cOa under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL is sufficient to rescue trans-heterozygous Spt-I mutant combinations, allowing survival to adulthood. Expression of Spt-IScer\UAS.cOa in neurons (Scer\GAL4elav.PU) or muscle (Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW) fails to rescue Spt-I mutants to adulthood.
