      Overexpression of FRG1Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 driven by Scer\GAL4DJ667 impairs flight ability in male (around 75%) and female (around 85%) flies; these flies have fully developed wings, walk normally and can jump for takeoff but are incapable of sustained flight. These flies show disorganized thoracic musculature: dorsal longitudinal muscles (DLMs) are misshapen, fused together and highly disorganized and have muscle degeneration in tergosternal muscles.
