Zzzz\Kaede photoconverts from green to red fluorescence upon exposure to UV light (365-410 nm). Zzzz\Kaede protein takes some time to fold. Expression in early to mid-embryonic stages is weak, but in larvae it is quite bright. Zzzz\Kaede can be converted nicely from green to red with a DAPI filter set or a 405 nm laser. Samples should not be exposed to bright day light before photoconversion.
