      Expression of Zzzz\Aque-yapS95A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU results in eye overgrowth that is stronger than in Zzzz\Aque-yapScer\UAS.cIa. The pupal retinae exhibit an elevated number of inter-ommatidial cells compared to controls. These cells fail to undergo normal differentiation of the lens cuticle and retain a pupal-like appearance in adult animals. No ectopic proliferation is seen in the eye disc. Eye pigmentation is reduced.
