Expression of Hsap\BCL2L13ΔTM.Scer\UAS driven along the anterior-posterior compartment boundary by Scer\GAL4dpp.PU does not induce significant morphological changes in the wing vein compared to controls; expression driven in the dorsal mesothorax by Scer\GAL4pnr.PU does not result in significant morphological changes; expression driven in the posterior compartment of each segment of the embryo by Scer\GAL4en.PU does not induce lethality; expression driven in the eye by Scer\GAL4GMR.PS does not induce significant eye phenotypes in adults or caspase activation in the morphogenetic furrow of eye imaginal discs in third instar larvae (similar to controls). Though the shape of cone and pigment cells is similar to controls, Scer\GAL4GMR.PS>Hsap\BCL2L13ΔTM.Scer\UAS pupal retina 42hr after puparium formation show defects in ommatidia rotation; there are no significant signs of apoptosis being induced in the pupal retinae, similar to controls.
