      Expression of Mic26-27HMS05399 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act88F.1.3 leads to a reduction in mitochondria area and mitochondrial cristae junctions, detached cristae from the mitochondrial inner boundary membrane, defective cristae packing (with cristae arranged in multiple directions) and lower mitochondrial membrane potential in the indirect flight muscle.

      Expression of Mic26-27HMS05399 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act88F.1.3 leads to a reduction in climbing ability, reduced level of mitochondrial DNA and mitochondrial nucleoid size.
