      Unlike wild-type flies, Gcn2Δ-1;Df(3R)Gcn2-FRT12kb/Df(3R)Gcn2-FRT12kb ('rescue') mutants fail to display the normal lifespan extension associated with a low-protein diet; compared to controls, their ovaries also decrease more in size on low-protein diet.
