UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of 20 copies of a pure CCTG repeat.
Expression of Zzzz\CCTG20.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW does not significantly affect the adult lifespan, locomotion (climbing or flight abilities) or the area of indirect flight muscles in either 3-day or 30-day-old flies as compared to age-matched controls. Similarly, expression driven by Scer\GAL4tin.cBa also has no effect on survival, cardiac function or locomotion in adult flies.
