Scer\FRT-mediated recombination between the two progenitor insertions (PBac{PB}Ir21ac02720 and PBac{PB}Cda5c04017) results in an ~11kb deletion that removes all except the last 192 nucleotides of the Ir21a open reading frame. Some of Cda5 is also deleted.
