      Terminal tracheal cell clones mutant for ich543 in mosaic third instar larvae display seamless tube defects, namely discontinuous membrane-bounded lumens with an irregular cystic appearance.

      ich543 mutant embryos exhibit mild 'blimp' (bloated) defects in cuticular preparations along with reduced sclerotization of the head skeleton and ventral epidermal denticles.
