The expression of FicScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5.T:Zzzz\His6 under the control of either Scer\GAL4da.G32 or Scer\GAL4GMR.long, alone or in an Fic30C homozygosity background, is viable and adults have no externally visible phenotypes; Scer\GAL4GMR.long-driven expression, alone or in an Fic30C homozygosity background, has not obvious effect on the residual levels of apoptosis in the third instar larval eye disc, as compared to controls.
The co-expression of FicScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5.T:Zzzz\His6 rescues the small and rough eye phenotype observed in Fic30C homozygotes expressing FicE247G.Scer\UAS.T:SV5\V5.T:Zzzz\His6 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.long.
