Description

Two internal deletions within the bcd sequences present downstream of the lacZ coding region in Ecol\lacZAdh.bcd.AZB. The bcd polyadenylation signal is deleted and a αTub84D polyadenylation signal is present instead. In addition an additional 4.4kb of Adh 5' flanking sequence has been added upstream of the Adh promoter sequences.

      The locailzation ofbcdΔ7.T:EcollacZR is defective compared to wild type bcd mRNAlocalization. Faint signal is detected along the anterior margin of the oocyteand transcript is detected in a difuse pattern in the anterior part of the earlyembryo.
