      The expression of crcVDRC.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4Dh44.PU increases baseline level of sucrose consumption, but does not abolishes the increased food consumption induced by dietary amino acids normally observed in controls. However, this expression does not further increase food consumption in the presence of dietary amino acids.

      Expression of crcVDRC.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.PF, in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the 16 hours prior to analysis, significantly abolishes the reduction in food intake observed when larvae are moved to essential amino acid-deficient food, compared to controls.
