UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of a Hsap\SERPINA1 cDNA.
Both the presence of the Hsap\SERPINA1UAS.cYa transgene alone or its expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Lsp2.PH lead to a significant increase in lifespan as compared to Scer\GAL4Lsp2.PH controls.
Flies expressing Hsap\SERPINA1UAS.cYa under the control of either Scer\GAL4GSG6710 or Scer\GAL4GSG10751 have a significantly increased lifespan than controls, independent of driver activation with RU486. Induction of expression by RU486 treatment leads to a further increase in lifespan compared to non-induced controls for Scer\GAL4GSG6710, but not for Scer\GAL4GSG10751.
