UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of a C-terminal portion of cv-c (includes the GAP and START domains). The protein is tagged at the N-terminal end with a Tag:PH(PLCδ-Unk) membrane localization signal and at the C-terminal end with Venus.
Expressing cv-cCt.UAS.Tag:PH(PLCδ-Unk).Venus under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU results in disrupted planar polarity in the embryonic epidermis, while expression under the control of Scer\GAL469B has no impact on salivary gland morphology in embryos.
Scer\GAL4ct.CtB/cv-cCt.UAS.Tag:PH(PLCδ-Unk).Venus partially rescues cv-c7/cv-cM62
Expressing cv-cCt.UAS.Tag:PH(PLCδ-Unk).Venus under the control of Scer\GAL4ct.CtB rescues the Malpighian tubule elongation defect in a significant fraction of (but not all) cv-c7/cv-cM62 embryos.
