UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of the Epac1-camps cAMP sensor.
Expression of Avic\GFPEpac1-camps.Scer\UAS in Pdf-expressing neurons, under the control of Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf appears to have little effect on fly behaviour. They train to light:dark conditions, and when released into constant darkness they exhibit persistent rhythmic activity. However, the period of locomotor rhythm of these flies is significantly longer than those of controls.
Expression of Avic\GFPEpac1-camps.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4cry.PE does not result in any additional defects not observed in a Scer\GAL4cry.PE/+ background.
Avic\GFPEpac1-camps.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4cry.PE flies display a normal bimodal locomotor pattern under light:dark cycles.
